Tea with TED: Discussions on Governance
Thursday, February 6, 2014 - 7:00pm

Join Tea with TED to discuss how to retrofit democracy and consider alternative paths to development than Capitalism. Should be an engaging, controversial night! Make sure to come hear some ideas worth spreading and share your own. Tea and snacks will be provided by Food for Thought Cafe!

When: Thursday, Feb. 6, 7 p.m.
Where: Portland State University, Montgomery Court Lounge

Tea with TED is a discussion-based student group that engages members of the Portland State University community to watch TED talks. Our mission is to help college students understand an interconnected world through interdisciplinary discussions. We believe this project addresses a critical pedagogical gap that is common in many large universities: students are channeled through efficient subject tracks that teach specialized knowledge in certain fields, but lack preparation to develop more complex insights about a world that transcends disciplines.  Join us and your fellow classmates for TED, conversation, and tea!
