Direct Deposit

Why should I use direct deposit?

Direct Deposit provides you with the convenience of having your paycheck electronically deposited directly into one or more bank accounts of your choice so that your paycheck is available immediately on payday. When you sign up to receive your pay electronically, you will be able to see your pay information on the PSU Information System prior to its deposit as well as receive an email notification to let you know when it is available.

How do I sign up for direct deposit?

To sign up for Direct Deposit, complete a Direct Deposit Authorization form and attach a voided check for each account you list on the form. Once the form is complete, provide it, with a voided check for each account attached, to the Office of Human Resources. This form provides payroll staff with the information necessary to electronically deposit your monthly pay. The form will ask you to specify either a dollar amount or a percentage of pay you wish deposited in each account.

When do I need to sign up?

The Direct Deposit Authorization form must be received by Human Resources by the 10th of the month in which you want the direct deposit to be active.

How do I make changes to my direct deposit?

To change your Direct Deposit information, you must complete another Direct Deposit Authorization form. There are check boxes to mark what you need to do (start, stop, change, or no change) with each account, whether they are current or new. Also, you must attach a voided check for each new account. Note: Any new form you submit will replace your previous form.
