Summer 2012

 

Let's face it - the best time to live in Portland is the summer! All summer contracts in Ondine, Epler, Broadway and Blumel will receive 10% off of published rates!

Current Residents

  • No academic requirement!
  • All current residents have the option to extend their current room through Summer term

     Except: Broadway 3-8, Ondine 3-9, Epler 5-6, Blumel 9 

     *Those students who renew their contracts with us will be assigned a temporary space for Summer term and a corresponding transfer to their permanent fall space. 

  • If you are picking a new room during our renewal process in April:
  1. You'll be notified in late May/early June with a transfer date
  2. You will stay in current room until transfer date and please keep in mind some transfers won’t happen until September.     
  3. Residents who renew will have their $150 advance payment roll to 2012-2013 contract
  4. Residents who sign a Summer only contract will be refunded their $150 advance payment in May.

  • Summer contracts are still available! Contact the University Housing Office at housing@pdx.edu to discuss options, etc.

New Residents

  • New residents to University Housing must take 8 undergrad/4 grad credits at some time during the Summer term
  • Summer Only: 
  1. Preferences are required for double or single room and unfurnished or furnished
  2. No building preferences will be collected
  3. Students will be charged $50 (contract fee) and no advance payment!

Summer only residents are typically assigned to these spaces given their preferences:

  • Furnished &  double: Ondine or Blumel doubles
  • Furnished & single: Montgomery Court
  • Unfurnished & double: Blumel
  • Unfurnished & single: Broadway and Epler

Summer contracts have these three options: 

1.Summer Session 1 (June 23 – July 23) 

2.Summer Session 2 (July 21 – August 18)

3.All Summer (June 23 – September 1)

        Students will be responsible for the entire contract period they select on their contract

 

Summer residents that are staying for Fall:

  • Building preferences collected from your 2012-2013 Contract will be used for room assignment
  • Students in spaces needed for FYE will transfer in September
