Fall 2008 Housing Contract Renewal for CURRENT University Housing Residents: Re-contracting for residents that currently live in University Housing and who want to continue living in University Housing for 2008-2009 will begin on Tuesday, April 1 and continue until April 30, 2008. Before you submit your contract online, be sure to review the below documents for contract terms and rates.

Spring Term 2008 Contracts:
Contracts for Spring term move in have been available since February 1, 2008.
Students who submitted contracts by February 27 will be notified of their
assignment offer via email by Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
As of March 1, 2008, University Housing only has availability in
single, furnished Montgomery sleeper units; double, furnished units with
roommates in Broadway and Ondine; or double unfurnished one-bedroom apartments
in West Hall.

Policies for canceling my contract prior to check-in: a) If you need to
cancel your contract prior to check-in and wish to receive a full refund of your
advance payment; your written, faxed, or emailed notice of cancellation must be
received by the University Housing Office by the follow dates: a) Contracts
beginning at Fall Term: August 1 (100% refund except Application Fee) b)
Contracts beginning at Winter Term: December 15 (100% refund except Application
Fee)* c) Contracts beginning at Spring Term: March 1 (100% refund except
Application Fee)*
If you cancel your contract after the above
dates, you have until the following dates to cancel your contract without a
payment penalty, but you will not receive your advance payment refund. a)
Contracts beginning at Fall Term: Tuesday September 4, 2007 b) Contracts
beginning at Winter Term: Monday, December 17, 2007 * c) Contracts beginning
at Spring Term: Monday, March 3, 2008 * *First Year Experience, and Global
Village residents may not cancel their contract in winter or spring term without
paying a buy-out fee.
Canceling during the Academic or 12 month year
for PSU student residents: 1) Residents, (except for FYE* or Global
Village*) have the option to provide written notification of intent to cancel
and be released from the Contract for the upcoming academic term by the
following deadlines. In these cases, the Advance Payment shall be
forfeited, and Resident must check-out of the room/unit by the designated
move-out date listed below. Regardless of the date of Check-Out, Resident
shall be financially responsible for the entire current academic term (no
prorated credit will be given for moving out prior to the listed move out
date). Deadlines are to Cancel, and to Move Out: · Cancel for Winter Term:
11/01/2007, Move out by:12/08/2007 · Cancel for Spring Term: 02/15/2008, Move
out by: 03/22/2008 · Cancel for Summer Term (12-month only): 05/01/2008, Move
out by: 06/14/2008
Canceling during the Academic or 12 month
year for PSU student residents AFTER Cancel at Term Deadline (see
above): a) shall forfeit their Advance Payment b) be held financially
responsible for the entire current academic term housing rate c) be
responsible for a buy-out payment of $9.00 per day for the upcoming academic
term d) following payment, be released from any subsequent academic terms as
applicable to Contract Type *First-Year Experience (FYE) and Global
Village participants may not cancel the contract under this section, and will be
responsible for payment for the entire term of the contract except for an
approved cancellation from the Housing Office.
