Each Friday at 4pm, the students, faculty and community of the Portland State University Department of Architecture converge on the Shattuck Hall Annex to hear the remarks of notable architects, artists, designers, landscape architects, academics and fellow students about their work in their respective fields.
Last year, the AIAS Portland State started a student mentoring program that would enable students to start logging Internship Development hours and gain a better understanding of the industry. This event will give students and practitioners the chance to engage as we aim to expand the program and encourage more student involvement.
Join the AIAS on October 12th as they introduce the new executive board and socialize with our current mentors and other members of the architectural community first in the Shattuck Annex and then over a BBQ in the park. After the food, the organizers will be auctioning off work by students, faculty, local craftwork and many more. All proceeds will help support the Spring 2013 AIAS West Quad Conference hosted by AIAS Portland State.
