Regional Equity Atlas 2.0!
Meg Merrick and Diane Besser return and are joined by Kristina Smock, the Atlas 2.0 project manager, to celebrate the June release of the Regional Equity Atlas 2.0! Join us to learn the latest info and find out about training programs and more.
The Coalition for a Livable Future’s Regional Equity Atlas is a major research and education project to promote widespread opportunity for a stronger, healthier, and more sustainable Portland-Vancouver Metropolitan Region. In this presentation, Kris Smock, the Atlas 2.0 project manager, will provide a preview of the Regional Equity Atlas 2.0 online mapping tool and engage participants in a discussion about how the maps and data can inform policy and planning in the region.
The Regional Equity Atlas 2.0 is a tool that enables us to understand how well different neighborhoods and populations across the region are able to access the resources and opportunities necessary for meeting their basic needs and advancing their health and well-being. Through the use of high quality maps and data, the Atlas provides a visual depiction of disparities and illuminates how the benefits and burdens of growth and change are distributed across the region.
