Lecture: "Four Performing Techniques in Chinese Opera: Sing, Recite, Symbolic Moves, and Combat 唱念做打" -- by performing artists from Binghamton University and The National Academy of Theater Arts in Beijing, China. The workshop will focus on four performing techniques in Chinese opera: sing, recite, symbolic moves, and combat. Two performers will demonstrate on four techniques, with theemphasis on combat moves. The Presenters could also pick 34 students, both females and males,and paint their faces in advance. Then the performers will talk about makeup and facepainting in Chinese opera.
