Governor Ted Kulongoski is Distinguished Fellow of Politics and Policy. He had a long and distinguished career in Oregon politics, serving as Governor (2003-2011), Associate Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court (1997-2001), Attorney General (1993-1997), as well as in the Oregon State House and Senate. After serving in the Marine Corps, Ted earned a law degree from the University of Missouri and practiced labor law. He will be teaching political science courses in state and local politics. Drawing upon a rich experience as a public servant in all three branches of government, Ted intends to provide students with insights into the practice of public policymaking and the realities of political life in Oregon, and not just the social science of politics.
