Russell Dondero, B.A., M.A., Ph.D.

Russ Dondero received his B.A. in political science from Whitman in 1964; M.A. in political science from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and Ph.D. from the U of M in 1973. Dondero is Professor Emeritus, Department of Politics & Government, Pacific University (1974-2005). Dondero began his teaching career at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA (1969-1974). At PSU since 2005 Dondero has taught American National Government, The Politics of Education, The Politics of Health Care, The Presidency, Grad Seminar on American Political Institutions and American Politics & Institutions (PA). He collaborated in writing chapters on the media and interest groups in Oregon Politics & Government, Progressives vs. Conservative Populists. Dondero has been a citizen advocate on affordable housing issues since 1991 to the present working at both the state and county level.
