Master of Public Administration Specializations
The Division of Public Administration offers specialty areas
and courses for all students participating in the MPA degree program. Areas of
specialization include: public sector human resource management and labor
relations, nonprofit management, global leadership and management, and natural
resources policy and administration.
Students pursuing the MPA degree may do the specialty part
of the degree program in one of these areas or may choose a specialty from
another department or division within the University. Some specialty areas have
required courses that must be taken in order to complete the degree. With the advice of his or her advisor, the
student may also put together a multi-disciplinary specialty.
Please note: Your specialty area documentation must be
completed and approved prior to beginning the 509 process. For any questions or
concerns in regards to specialty areas, please contact your advisor.
