Joseph Lampert is Assistant Professor of Political Science, with research and teaching interests in political theory. He received his PhD from Yale University in 2010, and was previously Associate Director of the Searle Center for Teaching Excellence at Northwestern University, where he also taught courses in political theory. His research interests lie primarily in democratic theory, and his current projects include work on democratic approaches to migration and climate change, as well as a co-edited book on the UN Charter (with Ian Shapiro). He teaches courses in the areas of contemporary political theory, democratic theory, and the history of political thought.
