International Student Admissions

In order to expedite the graduate admission process, Portland State University requires that the applicant send two complete (but different) application packets, one packet to the PSU Admission's Office and one directly to the Division of Public Administration. Incomplete packets sent either to the Admission's Office or the Division would seriously delay completion of the graduate admission process. Questions about the admission process or about the status of an individual application should be directed to Becky Fidler.

Application Packet II : Packet for Division of Public Administration

  • The Division Application
  • A 500 word statement concerning the applicant's professional goals and how the degree relates to the achievement of his/her goals
  • Three recommendations/letters from individuals familiar with the students academic and/or professional background
  • A copy, official or unofficial, of all transcripts
  • A current resume
  • The scores of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Please note that you should make arrangements to take the GRE well in advance of the application deadline.
