Computing Resources

Office of Information Technologies
The Office of Information Technologies (OIT) is the primary source for computing help for students. Webmail, ODIN accounts, and WebCT are just some of the issues this office can help with.

Creating an ODIN Account
ODIN accounts are needed to access any computer on the PSU campus or to access PSU services remotely. The link above will lead you to a step by step process to create an account.

Accessing PSU Webmail

All enrolled students are given an email account through PSU. Click the link above to access student email accounts. Please note that to log into your email account you use your ODIN account username and password.

PSU Online
Some coursese are available partially or wholly online.  WebCT and Blackboard are online programs used by PSU professors for such classes. Your professor will indicate in their syllabus whether or not these applications will be used for the class.

Portland State Information System
All students have a banweb account that tracks student records including registration, financial aid, grades, and billing.  Students use banweb to register for class, check account summaries, and pay tuition.

Computer Labs
There are various computer labs found throughout PSU's campus. The graduate student computer lab can be found in the basement of Smith. The College of Urban Affairs has their own computer lab on the 2nd floor of the Urban building. The Broadway Computer lab is open 24 hours except for on the weekends. Click the link above for a list of some of PSU computer labs and their availability.
