Part Time MBA On Campus

Portland State University's part time MBA program enables students to pursue their degree and broaden their business network while living and working in Portland.

  • The Portland State MBA is the only part time MBA program in Oregon to rank in the Top 100 Part Time MBA programs in U.S. News & World Report, 2012 Best Graduate Schools publication.

  • MBA students in the part time cohort meet on campus for their courses, group projects and leadership immersion — this provides a strong sense of community and important networking opportunities.

  • The part time MBA degree can be completed in as little as 2.5 years. By following this schedule, classes will not conflict in day or time and all prerequisites will be met.

  • Part time MBA students can tailor their degree by taking MBA electives to develop a concentration in finance, entrepreneurship, international business, sustainability, or marketing and logistics management.

  • All students will participate in an international experience -- current trips include: Asia, France, Germany, India, the Middle East, Nicaragua or a regional option near Portland, Oregon.

  • Part time MBA students gain valuable, hands-on business experience through their Capstone Consulting Project. This provides a great opportunity for students to get an inside perspective on a company of interest and gain relevant job skills.

  • Students enrolled in the part time MBA are professionals with an average of 8.8 years professional experience working for large, small and entrepreneurial companies. Ages range from 24-54, and the current cohort includes 35 students.

  • Part time MBA tuition and fees are based on the number of credit hours that each MBA student is enrolled in; students are billed quarterly.

  • Whether beginning a new profession, transitioning to a new industry or growing with a current employer's workplace, MBA students have access to a full array of career management resources and alumni networking opportunities to help them prepare for long-term success.
