MBA Curriculum

The coursework within the PSU MBA program can be grouped into five segments:

Foundations of Competitiveness

These courses provide you with a deepened understanding of the global and competitive challenges facing businesses today. Innovation, Creativity, Global Awareness, Ethics, and Sustainability are themes emphasized throughout the coursework.

The Value Chain of Business

These courses will give you the technical skills needed to analyze and systematically integrate different aspects of business operations including Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Operations.

Applied Leadership

Your leadership skills will be first assessed and developed through a series of leadership competencies integrated throughout the curriculum. Leadership is integrated through Managerial Competencies, Skills & Perspectives, One-on-One Leadership Coaching, a two-day Leadership Immersion and a Team-Based Consulting Capstone Project.

International Experience

A highlight of our program is the International Experience (IE) required for all MBA students beginning Fall 2013. Designed to provide a first-hand experience of the opportunities and challenges of competing in a global marketplace, students will participate in a 10-14 day international experience. Trip locations and areas of focus change every year. Check back on the international experience webpage in late summer for this year's upcoming trips.
