Full Time MBA

Portland State University's full time MBA program creates strong, effective and conscientious business leaders who are adept at earning a profit while impacting our future in a positive way.

  • The Portland State MBA program ranked #1 in the world among small schools for preparing our MBAs for social and environmental stewardship, according to the Beyond Grey Pinstripes Top 100 MBA Programs Report.

  • The full time MBA cohort is limited to a maximum of 50 students. This enables students to build strong friendships and work closely with like-minded colleagues as they complete their coursework, participate in classroom discussion, network and engage in group projects.

  • The full time MBA degree can be completed in 21 months. By following this schedule, classes will not conflict in day or time and all prerequisites will be met.

  • Full time MBA students can tailor their degree by taking MBA electives to develop a concentration in finance, entrepreneurship, international business, sustainability, or marketing and logistics management.

  • All students will participate in an international experience -- current trips include: Asia, France, Germany, India, the Middle East, Nicaragua or a regional option near Portland, Oregon.

  • Full time MBA students gain valuable, hands-on business experience through their Capstone Consulting Project. This provides a great opportunity for students to get an inside perspective on a company of interest and gain relevant job skills.

  • Students currently enrolled in the full time MBA are professionals with an average of 6.75 years professional experience working for large, small and entrepreneurial companies in the U.S. and abroad. Female students comprise 40% of overall current enrollment — significantly higher than the national average — and more than 30% of current students are international students from homelands in Asia, Europe and Africa.

  • Full time MBA tuition and fees are based on the number of credit hours that each MBA student is enrolled in; students are billed quarterly.

  • Whether beginning a new profession, transitioning to a new industry or growing with a current employer's workplace, MBA students have access to a full array of career management resources and alumni networking opportunities to help them prepare for long-term success.
