Business in Asia: Shanghai, China & Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

It is extremely difficult to succeed in business in Asia today without experiencing the differences in business climate, regulatory environment, infrastructure, and cultures. This trip will provide students with a unique opportunity to experience Asian business culture first-hand and learn the nuances of doing business in this increasingly vital part of the world.
Students will travel first to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where they will attend focus on supply chain and logistics. Classes will be taught by PSU graduate faculty and supplement the learning with visits to various firms where the knowledge can be expanded through presentations by company representatives and site visits of factories, offices, etc. After a week in Vietnam, students will then travel to Shanghai, China to focus on business development in China. The students will be required to do reading before the trip and during, as well as research work following the program.
