Simon Benson Awards Dinner

 

Named for one of Oregon’s first philanthropists, the Simon Benson Award was created by Portland State University in 1999 to honor the region’s contemporary philanthropists. Recipients are community leaders who give generously of their time and resources to improve the lives of Oregonians. The 2012 Simon Benson Awards Dinner attracted a record-setting 1,700 attendees and raised $1 million--the largest total ever for the event--to support students, faculty and campus programs.
