Portland State University currently has three top fundraising priorities: student scholarships, and the Viking Pavilion and Academic Center and the School of Business building projects. In addition, our annual giving campaign provides flexible, unrestricted support to help PSU respond to important needs. We hope you will contribute to one or more of these priorities.
Our annual giving campaign raises vital unrestricted support for PSU. No other giving opportunity has such a wide range of impact--financially supporting scholarships, academic programs, campus development, faculty projects, strategic partnerships, and more. You may contribute through a single outright gift or multiple pledge payments.
Creating Futures: The Campaign for Student Scholarships at Portland State University
As Oregon's largest university with nearly 30,000 students, we are committed to providing access to education. Twenty years ago, the state funded 80 percent of higher education costs. Now, it funds less than 20 percent. As a result, more and more students take out student loans to fund their education. Scholarships are vital to help attract and retain capable students. We invite you to join us in Creating Futures for students by giving generously to scholarships. Grow With Us Building Campaign
The School of Business Administration plans to renovate and expand. The Oregon Legislature in June 2013 approved $40 million in state bonds and PSU is close to meeting its $20 million fundraising goal for the project. Construction is expected to begin in January 2015 and be completed by fall 2016. You can Grow With Us by making a commitment to the School of Business building campaign today. For more information, please contact Kristin Mihalko at 503-725-3766 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Viking Pavilion and Academic Center Building Campaign
Twenty-five percent of our student body now lives on or within one mile of campus--significantly increasing the need for campus study space. The Viking Pavilion fundraising campaign will create new academic support and collaborative study space in the existing Peter W. Stott Center. In addition, a 5,000-seat arena in the building will enhance opportunities for athletic, civic and community events. In June 2013, the Oregon Legislature approved $24 million in bonds for the project and PSU has raised more than $10 million in private gifts, including $5 million from an anonymous donor and $1 million from Oregon Health & Science University. You can help PSU keep pace with the changing needs of its student body by giving to the Viking Pavilion campaign.
