Come join the Cambodian Student Association for a wonderful Wednesday afternoon learning about a few different types of food and etiquette prevalent in Khmer culture. Revolving around the major assets of water, fish, and most importantly, rice, Cambodian cuisine is incredibly varied and covers a wide palette which includes many different flavors and styles. These include fried rice (bai lieng), which is commonly served with Chinese sausage; salaw machu (sour soup), which include many different variants; deep fried banana (jayk jien), which is a popular street snack; and prahok, a fish paste used to add flavor to certain dishes. We will be bringing the taste of Cambodia to PSU as some of these dishes will be available to try! Our officers will also be discussing our future events and plans you can get involved in such as our upcoming macaroon fundraiser, our new T-shirts, how to become a member, and next year’s Cambodian Cultural Show! So we hope to see you there!
