To qualify for the Executive MPA Program, students must meet the threshold requirement of 10 years of significant work experience in a combination of the public, private or nonprofit sectors. This requirement is intended to identify those individuals who have assumed increasingly important leadership roles over the course of their career and are poised to assume strategic leadership responsibility in public service.
Applicants must have the equivalent of a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree and meet general university standards to be considered for admission into the Executive MPA Program. These standards require a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher. Applicants who have already earned 9 or more letter-graded graduate credits must have a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.00 or higher. This GPA supersedes the undergraduate GPA.
