Weight Room/Cardio - Why can’t we drop the weights when lifting?

Dropping weights creates a dangerous environment for individuals who are working out around you.  It also damages the floor and can bend the weights.  Please ask the fitness center staff or a friend for a spot if you feel that the weight you are lifting may be too heavy for you to keep in control during your entire set.  Remember, the ASRC is not designed for bodybuilding or power lifting, but rather as a recreational facility.
