Yes! University Studies is Portland State's general education requirement and you must complete some portion of the program to graduate.

• For co-admitted students at Chemeketa Community College or Portland Community College, University Studies placement is based on the total number of credits transferred to Portland State. Your placement may change if you continue to transfer credits from the community college after admission to Portland State.
• For co-admitted students at Clackamas Community College or Mt. Hood Community College, University Studies placement is based on the number of credits transferred upon admission to Portland State.
