FAQ: I cannot pay the $50 application fee for admission to Portland State. Can you waive or defer this fee?

Unfortunately, we can never waive (forgive) the $50 application fee. If you are a domestic applicant or an international applicant who currently lives in the United States, we can defer (delay) payment of this fee. However, if you are in international applicant living outside the United State, we cannot defer the application fee and you must submit the fee before we can process your application.

Please note that the application fee is non-refundable. If you decide after applying and paying the fee that you'd like to cancel your application, we cannot refund the fee.
