Your tuition and living expenses can be provided by a sponsor, in which case your sponsor must complete and sign the Portland State Statement of Support (or United States Citizenship and Immigration Services I-134 - Affidavit of Support form). Your sponsor also must supply:

• an official bank statement that covers the cost of tuition and living expenses, or
• an official bank statement that covers the cost of tuition and one of the following to cover living expenses
• • written statment from the sponsor's employer (on business stationery) that includes the dates and nature of employment, salary paid, and whether the position is temporary or permanent, or
  • a copy of the sponsor's most recently-filed income tax return
