FAQ: What happens if I have a low GPA?
To be considered for regular admission by Portland State University applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in all undergraduate courses or a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in all graduate credit (a minimum of 12 credits). Students with an undergraduate GPA between 2.50 and 2.74 can be considered for conditional admission. The conditions of admission usually require the student to maintain a 3.0 GPA or above for the first 12 credits of his/her graduate program. Students failing to meet this condition will be dropped from the program. If your undergraduate GPA is below 2.50 you must take 12 graduate credits or more with a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher to be considered for admission.
