FAQ: How do I properly dispose of surplus/old equipment?

Surplus equipment with an original cost under $5000: contact the Property Control Clerk at 5-3109 and provide the serial number(s), inventory number(s), and description of surplus equipment.

Surplus equipment with an original cost over $5000: complete a Property Disposition Request form and forward it to the Property Control Clerk. The Banner Fixed Assets record is adjusted for disposal. (NOTE: equipment should be fully depreciated and have no residual value at the time of disposal!)
