Information about current physical accessibility limitations to buildings and spaces on campus is posted below.

Peter Stott Center

Impact Dates/Times: 9/9/2016, 6am-6pm
Details:

Peter Stott Center will be fully closed to all students, faculty, staff and community members on 9/9/16. The closure will enable the steel structure to be removed from the roof of the existing building.

Location:

Market Center Building, SW 4th Avenue south side of the main entrance

Impact Dates/Times: 8/29/2016, 8am-4pm
Details:

As part of the project to create a ramp at the front entrance of Market Center Building, soil samples need to be taken to aid in the design of the ramp foundation. The sidewalk south of the front entry to the building will be closed from 8am-4pm. Access to the main entrance of the building will only be from the north section of sidewalk. Building users approaching from the south will need to use the sidewalk on the west side of SW 4th and cross at the SW Market intersection.

Location:

Smith Memorial Student Union Ticket and Information Booth - 1st floor, east side of the building 

Impact Dates/Times: 8/29/2016 - 9/22/2016
Details:

Smith Memorial Student Union is expanding the existing ticket booth to allow for it to function as both the information and ticket booth. As part of this project, one of the existing ticket windows will be removed. This work will block one door of the SMSU entrance nearest the ticket booth. Expect additional noise during the construction process and additional congestion from the construction workers.

Location:

5th Avenue Cinema Ramp

Impact Dates/Times: 8/11/2016 - 9/22/2016
Details:

This project will remove the existing ADA lift and replace it with an ADA ramp. This work will restrict access to the cinema and all activities will be relocated to other locations on campus. The construction will create loud noises and dust. Expect to see contractors entering the building along with additional congestion in the area while workers remove the concrete to allow for the ramp installation.

Location:

School of Business Administration - Floor 1 restrooms and hallway to south stairwell.

Impact Dates/Times: 2/1/2016 - 9/1/2017
Details:

As part of the renovation project, the north and south restrooms on floor 1 will be closed, as will the south stairwell. Building users are advised to use the restrooms on floor 2 and to use the center stairwell, north elevators or north staircase to reach floor 2.

Location:

All sidewalks surrounding the School of Business Administration (SBA)

Impact Dates/Times: 8/10/2016 - July, 2017
Details:

A new project beginning on August 10th. Construction fencing will be erected around the SBA building. This will close or partially close all sidewalks around the building. Please follow construction detour signage.  Click here for a closure map.

Entrances to SBA will only be open from the west along SW 6th Ave. and Harrison St. This activity is the first part of the SBA renovation and expansion project that will continue for the next several years.
