Individuals who have survived sexual violence have strong coping skills. Sometimes these coping skills emphasize personal resilience over partnership—this can make it hard to build intimacy in a relationship. For partners of survivors, knowing how to honor these struggles can be confusing. This workshop will briefly discuss strategies for building better communication in your relationship if someone you love or care for is a survivor.
This workshop is part of a month-long series of events in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). SAAM at Portland State University is hosted by the Women's Resource Center and the Healthy Campus Initiative at PSU.
