Veer - Portland bike culture documentary

PSU Transportation Options presents a screening of "Veer," a documentary film that takes "an intimate, behind the scenes look at bicycling culture."

Written & directed by PSU almunus Greg Fredette, this film won Best Documentary at the Calgary Underground Film Festival, was nominated for Best Documentary at the San Joaquin International Film Festival and was an Official Selection at both the Lincoln Center's New York Film Society Green Screens Series and the Victoria Film Festival.  Check out the trailer at www.veerthemovie.com!

The film is presented as part of the 2009 Bike to Campus Challenge, which pits PSU students against local elementary school students in a friendly competition to find out who is more dedicated to low-impact transportation choices.  Participants register at www.biketocampus.org and then log rides throughout the month of May.  We will then be tabulating the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases not emitted because of our collective choice for greener transportation.
