Urban Pioneer Awards Event
Thursday, May 17, 2007 - 5:30pm
The College of Urban and Public Affairs recognizes individuals, community organizations and businesses that have made a significant impact on the livability of Portland that we enjoy today. These individuals and organizations are recognized as "Urban Pioneers" who forged a path for better communities and are continuing to lead the way.

Now in its 6th year, the goal of this event is to honor our 2007 awardees, and the proceeds are used to build scholarship support for students in the College of Urban and Public Affairs who will follow in the footsteps of our "Urban Pioneers." This year we are pleased to honor Gretchen Kafoury, Gerding Edlen Development Company, and The Portland Gay Men's Chorus.

The event is Thursday, May 17 at the Portland Hilton (921 SW 6th Avenue). The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and program at 7 p.m. The emcee will be Martha Schrader, Clackamas County Commissioner. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Trish Hamilton at 503-725-5209. For tables or tickets, please contact Rod Johnson at 503-725-4044.

Our grand sponsors include Williams & Dame Development, Gerding Edlen Development, Terry Bean and Bean Investment Real Estate, Hoffman Construction, GBD Architects, Howard S.
