ABSTRACT: Representatives from the USDOT Federal Highway Administration will discuss a multitude of travel data, focusing on the Census Transportation Planning Package (CTPP) and the National Household Travel Survey (NHTS). We will show examples of trend data and discuss how data can be controversial. We will learn the importance of the data, how to acquire it and some practical uses of it. We will review the basics of these two datasets and demonstrate the NHTS on-line table generator.
