The Marsh-Titterington duo will perform exciting works from the 20th century for two pianos on Thursday, March 5th for the Think Lincoln Concert series at the Old Church.
Joined by special guest narrator Christine Meadows, the duo will open with Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens. Ravel's "La Valse" described as a metaphor for the predicament of European civilization in the aftermath of the Great War, will also be performed. The duo will close with William Bolcom's rag "The Serpent's Kiss". Come prepared to be surprised and entertained!
Lisa Marsh is a member of the adjunct piano faculties at Portland State University and Marylhurst University. As Director of the Coordinate Movement Program at Portland State University she specializes in promoting wellness for musicians. Ms. Marsh is Principal Keyboard with the Columbia Symphony Orchestra.
Connie Titterington is a member of the adjunct piano faculty at Portland State University. Connie performs locally as a chamber musician and accompanist and is Principal Keyboard for One Voice Productions.
