Come share food grown or raised within a 100 miles, and hear faculty and students share their stories about the importance, feasibility, benefits, and advantages of implementing a 100-mile diet. By holding this event, we hope to illuminate the issues in our present food system (environmentally, socially, economically, etc.), offer various sustainable solutions to fight against "the machine," and to also encourage implementing a 100-mile diet; this not only affords a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle, but also helps support local farmers and ranchers, helping grow the local economy.
