Social Sustainability and the Climate Crisis
Friday, February 9, 2007 - 1:00pm to Friday, February 9, 2007 - 3:00pm

Part of the Social Sustainability Colloquium series: Developing our Understanding of the Social Dimension of Sustainability

Jean Baumann will present Vice President Al Gore's slideshow on global warming. The presentation describes the monumental threats of and critical solutions to global warming. It is a call to action for individuals, businesses, schools, and governments alike. It is also a prime example of the role of social sustainability and the inseparability of the three 'faces' of sustainability. We will explore and discuss the significance of this and responses to the climate crisis that foster economic, environmental, and social sustainability. Jean Baumann, an international change management strategist, was personally trained by Gore to present this message. Jean holds master's degrees in business Administration and in Applied Behavioral Science. Client organizations include telecommunications, information technology, healthcare, education, public services, and energy industries. Sponsored by the PSU Working Group on Social Sustainability
