Sigma Xi Lecture: Bird Brains: Decision-Making by Blackbird

Dr. Gordon Orians, Professor Emeritus of Biology, University of Washington will discuss " Bird Brains: Decision-Making by Blackbird," in an event co-sponsored by Sigma Xi Columbia-Willamette Chapter and PSU Department of Biology.

Location: 53 Cramer Hall, PSU

Cost: The event is free and open to the public.

Background:
Gordon Orians' research interests have ranged over a variety of topics, including behavioral ecology, population dynamics, plant-herbivore interactions, and human ecology. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and in 2003-2005, a Distinguished National Lecturer with Sigma Xi.
