Sexual Assault Awareness Silent Auction
Tuesday, April 26th from 7:00-9:30pm
Location: SMSU 236 (Cascade Room)
Portland State University's Chapter of Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology, is holding a silent auction to benefit the Sexual Assault Resource Center, Portland Women's Crisis Line, and Psi Chi. The vast majority of the funds raised will help PWCL and SARC continue to assist in making life better for survivors of sexual assault, right here in our community; the remaining proceeds will support the undergraduate students in the Department of Psychology at Portland State University by providing them with the means to host important events, such as this one, that provide an opportunity for learning and community involvement. The event will culminate with a lecture from Dr. Chris Wilson, a clinical psychologist, on the effects of trauma via sexual assault on the brain.
Cost: For entrance, we recommend attendees to bring unused toiletries and/or clothing (i.e. sweatshirt, sweat pants, t-shirts). These items will be donated to the crisis lines.
