On Thursday, the Media Institute for Social Change will screen a collection of short films for its second annual Student Sustainability Film Festival. In partnership with the Institute for Sustainable Solutions, the film festival accepted entries from college students across the country. Each short film profiles a campus or community project that promotes sustainability—a one-minute animated work about water pollution from Ithaca College, a short documentary about Portland’s chicken coops and a story about community gardens from Michigan State students.
The films were judged by Curt Ellis (producer, “King Corn”) Matt Martin (editor, “No Impact Man”) and Jon Betz (director, “Queen of the Sun”).
Running time: 40 minutes.
WHERE: Academic and Student Rec Center (ASRC) Room
WHEN: Thursday, May 19 @ 5 pm
