Background

The Queer Resource Center at Portland State University provides a safe space for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning students, staff, faculty and their allies. We continuously aim to increase awareness and education by incorporate programming that encompasses a variety of issues and topics for the community at large.

First celebrated in 1994, Queer History Month is designed to promote the teaching of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-history in secondary and postsecondary academic setting, as well as within the GLBTQ community and mainstream society.
