Edie Tsong (American, born 1968) received her BA in East Asian Studies at NYU and her MFA from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. She has presented installations and performances at the Roswell Museum and Art Center, NM; the Harwood Center, Albuquerque, NM (2002); the Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans (2001); and Texas Fine Arts Association, Austin (2001). Her work often presents text in unusual contexts, such as wrapping telephone poles with strips of paper reading "I love you", or copying in cursive script all the names in the Roswell, New Mexico telephone book and presenting it in a mural-like format.
