he PSU Friends of History ushers in 2010 and the month of February
with a look at several aspects of America's participation in the Second
Starting with the Friday, January 29 double-screening of the classic Hollywood film and the Army documentary that inspired it, both entitled "Go For Broke." The title of both films was taken from the motto of the highly decorated, all-Japanese-American 442nd Regimental Combat Team, that counted among its number several Oregonians, many from the Portland area. Both the movie and the short documentary will be shown in Cramer Hall, Room 494 starting at 7:00pm. Free and open to the public
