Join us for the Third Annual Harold Goodhue Vatter Memorial Lecture presented by the Department of Economics and co-sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Oregon. This year's host is Jagdish Bhagwati, a Professor of Economics and Law at Columbia University and Senior Fellow in International Economics at the Council on Foreign Relations. He is one of the leading international economists and a major contributor to the academic and policy debates on globalization, having served as Economic Policy Adviser to the Director General of GATT (1991-93) and Special Adviser to the United Nations on Globalization.
The title of his lecture is “Trade Policy at Risk: How President Obama Should Confront Protectionism.”
