Oregon's Statewide Planning Goals
presented by land use attorney Ed Sullivan
The 2007-2008 Planning Commissioner Training Series - The Oregon
Chapter of the American Planning Association (OAPA) is partnering with
the Nohad A. Toulan School of Urban Studies and Planning at Portland
State University to provide a monthly, nine-part training series for
planning commissioners. Trainings are being held every 2nd Friday @ 10AM
through June and are streamed live on the web.
The presentations help to fulfill OAPA's goal of providing education and
outreach about planning to public officials, allied professions,
students, educators, interest groups, the media, and the public at
large. As a result, the sessions are open to the public, free to attend,
and free to view online. Sessions are archived for viewing at your
convenience. If you watch the live webcast, you can ask questions in
real time that will be answered by the presenter in the last 10 minutes
by sending an email to the following address:

Ed Sullivan is a Partner with the Portland office of Garvey Schubert &
Barer. Mr. Sullivan has edited all five editions of the Oregon State
Bar's CLE publications on land use. Mr. Sullivan has been the associate
editor of the Oregon State Bar's Real Estate and Law Use Law Digest
since 1979. Ed is a member of the Executive Committee and serves as
Secretary to the Council of the ABA section on State and Local
Government Law. He is City Attorney for the Cities of Oregon, Island
City, and Rivergrove and acts as special counsel for other local
governments. Sullivan has degrees from St. Johns University, Portland
State University, University College (London), and Willamette University
School of Law.
