WHAT: Dog Mountain is a challenging day hike through the beautiful Columbia Gorge that offers panoramic views of wildflowers, the Columbia River and Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens. The elevation gain of the trail is approximately 2,800 ft from the parking lot to the summit, with steep switch-backs scaling the mountain.
