OREGON 151st Anniversary Event "Whodunit: The Burning of Oregon's Capitol in 1935" will be presented by the PSU Friends of History on February 16 featuring Kyle Jansson from the Oregon Heritage Commission.
On the 151st anniversary of the creation of Oregon Kyle will take us back in time to 1935, when a fire swept through the original Capitol structure. Thousands watched as it went up in smoke, while resourceful onlookers dared to enter the building edifice to save valuable artifacts. Investigators later uncovered several important clues to the fire's cause that may surprise you.
