"A Day On, Not a Day Off!"
In recognition of Dr. King's birthday , Portland State University students, faculty, and staff, along with several of the university's long-term community partners, will engage in a variety of service projects designed to honor Dr. King's legacy of service.
When: Monday, January 21st, 2008
Where: Participants will meet on campus at the Hoffman Hall lobby (1833 SW 11th Avenue). Participants will share a light breakfast and hear a keynote address, and will then be divided into project groups and will break off to specific project sites. Transportation from PSU to project sites is available. Refreshments and snacks will be provided at project sites. All necessary project supplies will be provided (Student Leaders for Service and PSU are not responsible for lost or stolen items). At 1:00 p.m., volunteers will return to PSU for a pizza lunch and reflection session.
