On Thursday, March 20, the first Portland Mayoral Debate will take place and will feature the two leading candidates - Sam Adams and Sho Dozono. While the two candidates have been actively involved in the Portland civic arena for a number of years, the debate will give the candidates an opportunity to introduce their platforms to the city. A small panel will ask the candidates select questions on specific public policy areas such as transportation, economic development and public safety. The debate is sponsored by Portland Tribune, Portland State University and Portland Business Alliance.
When: 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Where: Smith Memorial Student Union Ballroom, (1825 SW Broadway)
Cost: The debate is free and open to the public.
