The Maseeh Mathematics and Statistics Colloquium Series* presents:
Bicycle Tracks, the Symplectic Group and Forced Pendula, Mark Levi, Dept. of Mathematics at Penn State University

Levi will describe a surprisingly close connection between the above objects, while discussing a recent solution of Menzin's conjecture. Some of the lecture will be based on the joint work with Sergei Tabachnikov, Robert Foote and Warren Weckesser.
