The Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies presents the Inagural Gus & Libby Solomon Lecture. Dedicated to exploring the American Jewish experience and the ideals of social justice promoted by the Solomons throughout their lifetimes.

Stephen Gillers has been professor of law at New York University School of Law since 1978. Following a clerkship with Chief Judge Gus J. Solomon in Federal District Court in Portland,
Oregon, Professor Gillers practiced law in New York City before joining the NYU faculty. Professor Gillers has written widely on legal and judicial ethics. He is currently Chair of the American Bar Association's Joint Committee on Lawyer Regulation.
