Public Lecture: "Language Management for Endangered Speech Communities"
by Dr. Bernard Spolsky (Former Director of the Navajo Reading Study,
Professor Emeritus at Bar-Ilan University)

At the University of New Mexico, Dr. Spolsky directed the Navajo Reading Study. He founded the Language Policy Research Center at Bar-Ilan University. He was also for many years associated with the National Foreign Language Center at the University of Maryland. He is Editor Emeritus of the international academic journal "Language Policy" and Editor-in-Chief of the "Asian TEFL Journal".

A reception will follow the lecture - open to the public.
